Arsenal take on Chelsea this afternoon in what is a crunch title challenge tie - and the 1,000th match under the guidance of Arsene Wenger as their manager.
With that in mind plenty of the players are getting fired up for the game - spreading news on Twitter of their feelings ahead of the game.
Even those whose future at the club appears to be decided.
Nicklas Bendtner is a source of much criticism and debate. No doubt he is a talented player - but more often than not he appears to let his own personality get in the way of his footballing ability.
Nowadays he finds himself in the middle pages of the tabloids more than the back - and his most recent escapade appears to have prematurely ended his troubled Arsenal career.
He went to Copenhagen without the club’s permission and was then accused of being rather drunk and disorderly in an incident involving a taxi.
Of the incident Arsene Wenger gave short shrift to his Danish striker:
"I don't know exactly what happened because I haven't spoken to him yet, the only thing that is for sure is that he had nothing to do in Copenhagen. Nobody gave him any permission to go there so he will be fined for that. Has he created some problem there? I don't know…He is at the end of his contract in the summer."
Since the incident an ‘injured’ Bendtner appears to be cast away by the Arsenal first-team - and will probably not play for the club again this season.
But the striker himself is still backing his team-mates - as this supportive Tweet suggests:
Big game today. Red army Come on you gunners!— Nicklas Bendtner (@bendtnerb52) March 22, 2014
