A round up of news stories this morning about Tottenham Hotspur.
Serie A giants Roma are thought to be interested in a move for Tottenham star Paulinho.
The Brazilian midfielder only joined the club last summer in a £17 million transfer and reports are suggesting the Italian side want him.
However, he has featured prominently for Tottenham under both former boss Andre Villas-Boas and current manager Tim Sherwood.
Tim Sherwood has praised his Tottenham side saying they made Benfica’s boss sweat.
Spurs grabbed a 2-2 draw in Portugal last night but went out of the Europa League over the two legs.
“We had them running scared. It was good to see their manager sweating as much as he was. I didn't see a suave character on the sidelines, I saw someone who was really flustered,” Sherwood told the press.
Sherwood has also played down reports linking the club with a move for Dnipro winger Yevhen Konoplyanka.
There are strong reports that Spurs are already in negotiations to draw up a deal for the Ukrainian winger which will go through in the summer.
“Konoplyanka is certainly one who’s being talked about, but nothing definitive. I think we have to make sure we see a lot more of these guys before they come in,” said the boss.
