Spanish newspaper Sport hasn't even mentioned Manchester United in a Champions League preview today.
Like plenty of other newspapers and publications this morning, Spanish paper Sport has chosen to preview the impending Champions League quarter-final draw, which takes place at 11:00 GMT this morning.
However, as thrilling as Sport’s preview is to read, they have made a huge blunder, seemingly forgetting about Manchester United.
Click onto their homepage this morning and you’ll see a picture, with eight different faces and there isn’t a Manchester United connection in sight with Bayern Munich represented twice with images of manager Pep Guardiola and player Thiago.
Go into the report itself and you won’t find any mention of Manchester United in any form.
The Spanish seemingly don’t see Moyes’ United as any sort of threat in the last eight, which is dangerous because the Scot can use his side being written off as motivation ahead of the quarter-finals.
Whichever side United raw later today, they will believe they can win that tie and get into the semi-finals, a step closer to securing the Champions League football for next season they aren’t going to get through a top four league finish.
The Spanish press have never made any attempts to be ‘correct’ in the sense of impartial reporting so this is either a blunder or they have chosen to disrespect United ahead of the game.
I wonder if they’d be so forgetful if United started to beat Atletico Madrid, Barcelona or Real Madrid in the last eight.
