Jose Mourinho, the man trying to defeat Arsene Wenger in his 1,000th game in charge of the club tomorrow - has paid tribute to the Frenchman.
As it seems he was in fact having a cheeky dig at Wenger - whom he has not seen eye-to-eye with during his time in the Premier League.
The Chelsea boss said of his opponent today:
"The tribute is to say we would love to have the same privilege with our clubs. I admire Wenger and I admire Arsenal, a club that stands by their manager in bad moments - of which there were quite a lot."
Mario Mandzukic’s agent is reportedly in London for talks - according to The Metro.
The Croatian striker has been in great form for Bayern Munich again this season - but could still face a summer exit. Robert Lewandowski is arriving on a free transfer from Borussia Dortmund and that could see the striker depart.
Arsenal are said to be one of many teams keen on signing him - and if this report turns out to be true, have taken the front foot in the race for his signature.
Arsenal centre back Per Mertesacker has been speaking about his relationship with the Arsenal fans.
He has been speaking to the BBC, and was presented by Garth Crooks with the book BFG by Roald Dahl, and stated:
“That’s a big friendly giant. It fits to me. It was very special for me from the start. Even if I did mistakes or something they just kept supporting me in a very good way for me. I didn’t realise that from the start that they really like try to push me and support me that way. That took [me] a while to realise that they are going to help me and support me and nowadays it is just great fun.”
Finally, and reports are emerging that Jack Wilshere could be back sooner from his ankle injury than first feared.
It is believed the England international is now targeting a mid-April comeback to action - rather than at the end of the month as previously suggested.
