Lee Dixon believes his 1998 league and cup winners would have got the better over the Invincibles of 2003-04.

This week has seen plenty of festivities around the Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger as he approaches his 1,000th game in charge of the club at the weekend.

The game is a massive landmark for the Frenchman - and in light of that plenty of people are getting in on the action.

This week has seen a number of big names show off their ‘Arsene XI’s’ - compiling their best teams from the Arsene Wenger era.

And a former player of his also did just that.

Lee Dixon compiled a couple of teams together - but then went on to make this quite massive statement.

It could be argued that the two greatest teams Wenger had were the 1998 double winning side and of course the infamous ‘Invincibles’ who went the entire 2003-04 Premier League season undefeated.

But despite that Lee Dixon believes his ’98 side would have got the better of the 03-04 crew.

Here is his Tweet on the matter…
