Arsenal travel to Chelsea this weekend in a pivotal Premier League clash, and much of the attention will be on the two managers.
The two fell out, not for the first time, several weeks ago when Wenger was branded a 'specialist in failure' by the Chelsea boss.
So all of the festivities surrounding Arsene Wenger's 1,000th game in charge of Arsenal is not likely to be one Jose Mourinho will welcome being a part of, and he certainly does not want to go overboard.
He did however state that he would love to do what Wenger has done, and stay at Chelsea for as long as the Frenchman has at Arsenal; so far he is yet to manage a club beyond a three-year stint.
He was quizzed on the upcoming Arsenal game during his press conference after Chelsea's Champions League win over Galatasaray and gave his views.
Mourinho finishes by saying he wants to emulate Wenger's 1,000 games."If Chelsea give me the chance I will be the happiest man in the world"— Daniel Taylor (@DTguardian) March 18, 2014
Though he did look slightly aghast when someone asked if he would present Wenger with anything. "No," he said, matter-of-factly— Daniel Taylor (@DTguardian) March 18, 2014
Mourinho is clearly planning on playing party pooper and taking all three points during Saturday's clash, but if Arsenal can inflict a second successive defeat on Chelsea, and follow up their win at White Hart Lane with one at Stamford Bridge, the lack of a present from Mourinho will not really matter one bit to Arsene Wenger.
