News, views and rumours relating to Manchester United in the past 24 hours.

Manchester United take on Olympiakos tonight at Old Trafford in the second leg of their last sixteen tie in the Champions League.

The Red Devils must overturn a two-goal deficit tonight suffered in the first leg in Athens against the Greek champions if they are to progress through to the quarterfinals of the competition.

In team news, defenders Chris Smalling and Jonny Evans are out injured and club record signing Juan Mata is cup-tied and therefore ineligible for selection tonight.

The confirmed line-up, sees Ryan Giggs come into the team as does Danny Welbeck and Rio Ferdinand, while Nemanja Vidic and Adnan Januzaj drop out:

De Gea; Rafael, Jones, Ferdinand, Evra; Valencia, Carrick, Giggs, Welbeck; Rooney, van Persie.

Meanwhile, boss David Moyes rubbished rumours of a rift with the players at Old Trafford including veteran Ryan Giggs.

"A lot of people are trying to divide us in some way or not keep us together," Moyes explained.

"I can only tell people what they're hearing or what they are saying is rubbish."

In transfer news, United are linked with Everton fullback Seamus Coleman whom The Mirror reports the Reds are ‘confident’ of signing this summer for a fee reportedly £15 million.

However, United could face competition from rivals Manchester City who are reportedly preparing to do ‘battle’ to sign Luke Shaw from Southampton ahead of the champions this summer with a £30 million move for the England starlet.
