A round up of news stories this morning about Chelsea.
The Daily Mail claims Inter Milan are lining up a move for Chelsea striker Fernando Torres.
Inter’s sporting director Piero Ausilio was at Stamford Bridge last night, in London to reportedly work out a deal for the forward.
Torres has failed to nail down a regular starting role for himself in the Chelsea attack this season ahead of Samuel Eto’o.
However, another source has claimed Inter are interested in signing midfielder John Obi Mikel.
Mikel’s position has come under threat since the January arrival of Nemanja Matic and there was speculation over the winter that Mikel could leave.
TalkSport has suggested Inter are confident of a deal which would set them back around £12.5 million.
Jose Mourinho says his side deserve to be back amongst the top eight teams in the world.
The Blues saw off Galatasaray last night with a comfortable 2-0 win to progress to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
“We are there (in the last eight) - but it's different from last season because last season was the Europa League at a different level,” said Mourinho after the game.
