Manchester City latest: Another United player’s child training with Blues; Garcia’s happiness

All the latest news, views and transfer rumours from the Etihad…

Hull City striker George Boyd has been charged with spitting at Manchester City’s Joe Hart when the two sides met last weekend.

Sky Sports reports that Boyd has until 6:00pm on March 19 to respond to the charge.

The match ended 2-0 in favour of Manuel Pellegrini’s side and ensured they still had their title hopes in their own hands after Chelsea’s slip up later that day.

In other news, City midfielder Javi Garcia has told FourFourTwo that he is now feeling at home in Manchester after a difficult start.

When you feel good off the pitch, you feel better on it,” Garcia said. “Maybe this season after Christmas I have done my job better.

“Now maybe the fans are happier with me, but I just try to do my job. I feel better now in the country, in the team and in the club.”

And finally, the Daily Mail reports that yet another Manchester United player is sending their child to train with City’s youth teams.

Following the news that both Robin van Persie and coach Phil Neville send their children to City to train, now it has been revealed the same can be said of Darren Fletcher.

The news is somewhat surprising given the fact that Fletcher came through the youth ranks at United.
