AC Milan great Paolo Maldini has revealed his anguish at the club's current crisis and feels that 10 years of work have been destroyed.
The Rossoneri are enduring one of their most miserable periods in recent history and face an uphill battle to even secure Europa League qualification.
Clarence Seedorf was brought in to replace Massimiliano Allegri halfway through the campaign but he has failed to stop the rot too.
Last weekend saw Milan lose 4-2 to Parma and fans reacted angrily with a group of Ultras demanding a meeting with key players.
"It hurts me to see that they have thrown away what we worked so hard for over 10 years," Maldini said.
"They have destroyed my Milan. I feel anger and disappointment. There's no project. It's not Seedorf's fault but he could get burned.
"The directors have shown that they only think about today and not tomorrow. (CEO) Adriano Galliani feels that he is omnipotent. He forgets that all the successes weren't just down to him but were also because of a group who knew how to manage the dressing room."
Maldini's anger will resonate with many of the club's fans and coming from such a favourite his words may further undermine the Diavolo's directors.
