Swansea chairman to play himself in goal - Why?

Huw Jenkins will line up in goal for Swansea City in a charity match.

Swansea City Chairman Huw Jenkins will take Michael Vorm’s place in goal for a charity football match at the Liberty Stadium in June.

Jenkins will be between the sticks as the club help to raise money for SwansAid, and will be joined on the field by the likes of boxer Nathan Cleverly, Eastenders star Danny Dyer and former X-Factor winner Shayne Ward.

The Chairman will feature in goal for 20 minutes on the day, and will be a great chance for fans to see the man who sacked Michael Laudrup in February test himself on the pitch.

Stars featuring in the match took to Twitter to announce their participation on Tuesday morning.
