The Ivory Coast international will hope to impress at the London club after recently becoming a free agent following a six year spell in the Middle East.
Once a target of Newcastle United, Diané, spent two seasons at Parc des Princes making 70 appearances for the club. Incredibly, Diané scored two goals in his final match for the club that ended up keeping the French giants in Ligue 1, after a nervous relegation battle in 2008.
This isn't the first time Redknapp has turned to a former star of Ligue 1 as he took former Monaco striker Javier Chevantón on trial at the start of the season. The former Portsmouth manager offered the Uruguayan a short term contract but Chevantón has since left the club.
Redknapp clearly isn't happy with his current attacking options at the club as he brought fours strikers in on loan on the 31st January, including Kevin Doyle and Modibo Maiga. The move for Diané could see QPR have 8 strikers in their first team squad, and they have struggled to score goals since Charlie Austin's injury in January.
Diané made an appearance for QPR's development side on Tuesday afternoon against Bristol City at Rangers’ Harlington training ground, the game ended in a 1-1 draw as January signing Guilherme Dellatorre scored his spot kick.
Queens Park Rangers make the trip to Hillsborough on Tuesday evening as they face Sheffield Wednesday. The two met on the first day of the campaign and the R's took all three points at Loftus Road beating the Owls 2-1.
