A round up of news stories this morning about Arsenal.

Arsene Wenger has described yesterday’s victory against Tottenham Hotspur as a ‘vital’ victory.

The Gunners picked up points as Chelsea lost thanks to a thunderous strike from Tomas Rosicky in the opening exchanges of the match.

“In the dressing room now you can see it means a lot. We had a disappointing result against Stoke and that was still in our minds. To stay in the race it was vital to win here,” said Wenger after the game.

Bayern Munich striker Mario Mandzukic is reportedly back on the radar of Arsenal.

Wenger is believed to be keen on signing a high profile centre forward this summer to add firepower to his attack ahead of next season.

Reports suggest the 27-year-old could be available for a fee of around the £20 million mark.

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Yohan Cabaye has revealed that he would have liked to have played for Arsene Wenger.

Cabaye was strongly linked with a move to Arsenal before he made the switch to play for the Ligue One giants.

“I would have liked to play for Wenger last summer but, unfortunately, it didn’t happen,” he told Telefoot.
