Adrian Ramos is set for a move to Borussia Dortmund according to his agent.
The agent of Hertha Berlin striker Adrian Ramos has strongly hinted that his client will join Jurgen Klopp’s Borussia Dortmund this summer.
Ramos has been linked with high profile moves to Arsenal and Chelsea in the summer, as he continues his superb run of form in the Bundesliga which has seen him score 15 goals with six assists in 25 appearances.
BVB will lose Robert Lewandowski in the summer and Helmuth Wennin has suggested there is already an agreement in place between Ramos and Dortmund, which is yet to officially be announced.
“There are great opportunities for Adrian after he goes to Dortmund. I prefer it when the official announcement comes from the clubs themselves,” Wennin is quoted in German tabloid Bild.
Ramos’ current deal with Hertha expires in 2015 which means the side would have been looking to sell him this summer had they not been able to get him to agree to a new contract.
It can be considered a blow to Arsenal and Chelsea because he’s a player in good form and scoring goals at a time when both London clubs will be looking to sign attacking firepower in the summer.
However, both sides have also been linked with a variety of higher profile, more experienced and arguably more prolific strikers.
This is the exact sort of signing Klopp has become famous for at BVB; taking a lower profile but effective player and turning him into someone the club can benefit from or sell for a huge profit.
