PHOTO: Lewis Holtby takes the tube home and wishes Spurs good luck

Tottenham Hotspur loanee Lewis Holtby has wished his parent side luck ahead of the North London derby clash with Arsenal.

The 23-year-old gave spectators a shock as he boarded the tube following Fulham’s 1-0 victory over Newcastle at Craven Cottage.

The German international joined Tottenham Hotspur in January 2013 after impressing in the Bundesliga for Champions League contenders Schalke 04.

Despite arriving with high promise, Holtby failed to nail down a regular first-team spot at White Hart Lane and has since moved to Fulham on loan.

In his six performances for bottom-side Fulham, Holtby has shown why he still has a big future in the game. He has helped the side by displaying an attacking edge which the cottagers had previously lacked – contributing to three goals by means of goals and assists.

After Fulham had deservedly beaten Newcastle 1-0 in a crunch game at Craven Cottage, Lewis Holtby – dressed in a Fulham tracksuit - took the tube home and posted a photo and message on Facebook, wishing his parent club well for the big clash.

Tottenham Hotspur face North London rivals Arsenal in what is a must-win game for Spurs if they are to have any chance of claiming Champions League football for next season – a game which Holtby will surely be watching.
