Sunday rumour mill: Spurs want Arsenal and Newcastle linked striker

Loic Remy

The Daily Mail has stated that the North London side will move for Loic Remy this summer.

An over-dependence on Emmanuel Adebayor means that Tottenham are likely to raid the transfer market in the summer for a new striker, with plenty of names being put forward for consideration by the British press.

The latest is a man that has been linked with Spurs in the past – Loic Remy.

The France international was rumoured to be on the White Hart Lane club’s hitlist when Harry Redknapp was in charge, before he signed for QPR.

Remy has since been loaned out to Newcastle, with the sprightly attacker netting 13 goals for Alan Pardew’s men this season – including the only goal of the game in the Tyneside club’s 1-0 win over Spurs at White Hart Lane earlier this term.

The Daily Mail have stated that Spurs will rekindle their interest in Remy at the end of the season, with a tussle for the star’s signature sure to ensue.

Newcastle are keen to make his move to St James’ Park permanent, while Arsenal have also been touted as a potential destination for him.
