Piers Morgan and Lord Sugar place £5k bet on North London derby - Who won?

Piers Morgan 2011

Well charity did, as Alan Sugar had to give £5,000 to Great Ormond Street Hospital.

When it comes to celebrity football fans there are always the ones who seem to go above and beyond in letting us know their feeling about every inch of their feelings toward their clubs performances.

Two of the most prominent have to be Piers Morgan and Lord Sugar. The TV presenter and the Apprentice host do not however share affection for their respective clubs.

Morgan is an Arsenal fan, while Sugar prefers Tottenham Hotspur.

So you can imagine today was entertaining enough for the pair.

They usually share barbs with each other on a day like this - but on this occasion the two were in fact together.

BBC managed to bring the pair together at White Hart Lane to watch the game - and immediately the pair took to the Tweet.

And then they raised the stakes.

Both are pretty well off gentleman - and decided a wager was in order.

The stakes - £5,000k from the loser - but in good spirit the money would go to charity, not the coffers of the rival celeb.

And if course the loser was Lord Sugar - but the winners were the good people at Great Ormond Street hospital - who received the cash.
