Arsenal’s £42.4m record signing was out dining with friend and Bayern Munich star Jerome Boateng.
The German international playmaker is currently nursing an injury sustained during Arsenal’s 1-1 draw with Bayern Munich in their Champions league tie on Tuesday.
Unfortunately for Arsenal, it has been reported that Mesut Ozil could be set to miss up to six weeks as a result of the hamstring injury – missing key Premier League matches as well as the FA Cup semi-final against Wigan Athletic.
Ozil had originally started the season in strong fashion, impressing pundits and supporters alike with some excellent performances. However, since the turn of the year, his high standards had dropped and the 25-year-old began to struggle.
The injury will have topped off a disappointing 2014, but at least the Arsenal star can get some much-needed rest and regain his confidence.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger would have been happy for Mesut Ozil to spend some time back in Germany, and he seems to have done that after being spotted happily having dinner with Bayern Munich star Jerome Boateng and his friends.
Mesut Ozil was likely to have been a guest during Bayern Munich’s 2-1 victory over Bayer Leverkusen – a game in which Jerome Boateng started – and he would have been pleased for his German teammates as they close-in on yet another Bundesliga title.
