Liverpool owner believes there is no more exciting team in world football than his side.
Win away to fierce rivals Manchester United has Liverpool owner John W Henry giddy with excitement.
A convincing win at Manchester United. LFC is the most exciting team to watch in football.— John W. Henry (@John_W_Henry) March 16, 2014
It's no wonder the Liverpool owner was thrilled, as the Reds kept up their title pressure at the home of the soon-to-be-deposed Champions.
Two Steven Gerrard penalties and a third from Luis Suarez put the result beyond doubt, but Liverpool could have had more while United offered very little.
The American owner was clearly very happy with the result - but do the facts back up his claims? Here's a look at how the top four in the Premier League compare:
|Name||Goals / played||Total Scoring Att / played||Total Att Assist / played||Played|
With the top all having played an unequal number of games, a look at goals scored shows Liverpool behind Manchester City narrowly on a per game basis.
City and Chelsea have also fired in more scoring attempts per game - while on this front Arsenal are by far outclassed. City create more chances than the Reds, and time will tell whether this narrow statistical advantage is reflected in the final Premier League table.
Liverpool's owner is bound to be ecstatic after the win, and obviously he gets no pleasure from watching the teams he does not support play.
The Anfield side could well be the most exciting team to watch, but it's in the eye of the beholder, as statistically it's not even clear cut that they are in the Premier League.
And just from a worldwide perspective... Barcelona won 7-0 last night.
