The Gunners may have been knocked out of the Champions League this week as well as losing in the early stages of the Capital One Cup, but Wenger's men are still in with a shout of winning the Premier League and the FA Cup.
Arsenal sit seven points behind Premier League leaders Chelsea but with two games in hand, whilst the FA Cup has been kind to them, with just Wigan Athletic, Hull City and Sheffield United left in the competition, making Arsenal clear favourites to lift the trophy.
It would give the club their first silverware since winning the FA Cup back in 2005, and with almost nine years without a trophy, Seaman believes that Wenger simply has to win something this season, with the Arsenal fan base desperate for any sort of success.
“They just need to get one trophy and then it shuts everybody up. And then Arsenal can push on,” Seaman said. “But it’s getting that first one. It’s not easy. He’s got to win something and the fans are desperate.
“We’re still doing OK in the league. People are writing us off but if we can hold it together we have a chance. This team deserves it.”
Today's North London derby between Arsenal and Tottenham could shape the Gunners' title challenge, with Liverpool's win over Manchester United piling the pressure on the teams in contention - a defeat for Arsenal will certainly make their quest for glory that much more difficult, but a win over their fierce rivals will be a much needed boost after their defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
