'Didn't happen in my day' - 'Pizzagate' Arsenal legend on Old Trafford penalties

Manchester United conceded three penalties today against Liverpool - making history.

What an abysmal day for Manchester United.

They were absolutely outplayed at Old Trafford today against fierce rivals Liverpool - and it looks as though the baton of superiority between the two sides has temporarily swapped hands.

Goals from Steven Gerrard (2) and Luis Suarez did the job in a game in which Nemanja Vidic was sent off against Liverpool for the fourth time in his career and United gave away an astonishing three penalties at Old Trafford in the Premier league for the first time - in fact, it was the first time they conceded three.

The penalty count at Old Trafford is usually low - under Sir Alex Ferguson visiting teams were very lucky if they ever got a whimper of a penalty at the club.

In the other direction however was much different.

Many often felt United got the rub of the green when it came to dubious calls in the opposing penalty box.

One infamous penalty moment at the home of The Red Devils involved Martin Keown and Ruud van Nistelrooy - which of course sparked the Battle of Old Trafford.

Keown and Diego Forlan came together in the Arsenal penalty box - and Steve Bennett awarded United a penalty.

Van Nistelrooy hit the bar - and an apish Keown assaulted RVN in the most ridiculous manner you can imagine.

So when it comes to penalties you can realise it is a sore point for Keown - so he obviously was full of gloat at the penalty free-for-all that was Old Trafford this afternoon:
