CONFIRMED: Tottenham & Arsenal line-ups

White Hart Lane 5

Here is how Tottenham and Arsenal will line up for this afternoon’s match:

Tottenham Hotspur starting XI: Lloris, Naughton, Kaboul, Vertonghen, Rose, Sandro, Townsend, Bentaleb, Eriksen, Chadli, Adebayor

Subs: Friedel, Walker, Lennon, Paulinho, Sigurdsson, Kane, Soldado

Arsenal starting XI: Szczesny, Sagna, Koscielny, Mertesacker, Gibbs, Arteta, Rosicky, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Podolski, Cazorla, Giroud

Subs: Fabianski, Monreal, Vermaelen, Jenkinson, Gnabry, Flamini, Sanogo

Arsenal will have watched Chelsea’s defeat to Aston Villa on Saturday evening knowing they must take full advantage when they travel to White Hart Lane.

But today’s hosts Tottenham have ambitions of their own, with a top-four place certainly in their grasp if they beat their North London rivals.

The Gunners can take heart from the way they performed in Munich and will hope for a similar performance (if a slightly different result). While hot off the back of Tim Sherwood’s recent quotes, it will be interesting to see how his Spurs players respond.

Arsenal have not one in their last five league visits to White Hart Lane, while Spurs are seeking their 50th win over today’s visitors.

What do you think the result will be this afternoon?
