Under pressure West Bromwich Albion boss recorded his first win against Swansea.

After seven games without a win as West Brom boss, Pepe Mel oversaw a win over Swansea City this afternoon.

It was long overdue, and there was a touching moment at the end of the game when the clearly relieved and joyous Mel went over to thank the 2,000 travelling fans who made the trip to the Liberty Stadium.

He clearly appreciated the support, shown visually by fans with their Spanish flags, containing messages which translate as 'We Support Pepe Mel', and 'Confidence in Mel'.

After replacing Steve Clarke, and getting off to a poor start, there had been murmurings the Baggies could move to replace him, but this victory will do the club the world of good.

The 2-1 win came courtesy of a Youssuf Mulumbu winner in the 85th minute, with West Brom currently sitting in 16th position in the Premier League.
