Fulham secured an absolutely vital victory as they strive to remain in the Premier League beyond this season.
Few would have bet in favour of them escaping the mire prior to today's match against Newcastle United. But now the Cottagers have a slim hope of making it out of the bottom three after Ashkan Dejagah scored the only goal of the game at Craven Cottage.
There had been earlier controversy when Jonny Heitinga's shot came down off the underside of the bar and bounced clear when it appeared to have crossed the line. But that 20-20 vision of Hawkeye would later prove that it was mere millimeters away from giving the hosts the lead.
But Fulham fans will not worry about that now, after Dejagah's shot went in under Tim Krul to give Felix Magath his first win as manager.
