Chelsea morning news: Torres fitness boost, move for £40m striker back on?

A round up of news stories this morning about Chelsea.

Jose Mourinho has been handed a boost through the news Fernando Torres could return from injury against Galatasaray.

The Spaniard picked up a groin problem in the 4-0 demolition of Tottenham Hotspur last weekend but is in line for a return.

Intensive, daily treatment is thought to have helped the forward to recover quicker than normal.

Chelsea could go after Zenit St Petersburg striker Hulk this summer according to the Daily Express.

Speculation has been building this week after reports the player will be allowed to leave the Russian side this summer.

“Despite the transfer fee required to land Hulk, don’t rule out that he may move to one of the top European championships,” said agent Shandor Varga.

Thibaut Courtois is staying calm over his future at Premier League leaders Chelsea.

The Belgian has been linked with several high profile moves away from the club but has revealed he will meet with Jose Mourinho at the end of the season.

“At the end of the season we will talk with (Chelsea manager) Jose Mourinho and the Chelsea board members. I have a contract with them, so no problem for me,” he’s quoted by Sky Sports.
