Chelsea fans may well have been keeping a close eye on Tottenham's Europa League match against Benfica on Thursday evening, following the news that Lazar Markovic would be starting for the Portuguese side.
The 20-year-old Serbian midfielder has long been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, and reports in Portugal have claimed Chelsea have first-refusal on the player, and for a fee considerably less than his reported €40million release-clause - €15million to be exact.
The player's agent Pini Zahavi has recently said his client will remain at Benfica next season. And it would be no surprise if he does so, given his age, the fact that he has only actually been there since last summer, and with his current side the form-team in Portugal following their rise and FC Porto's sudden fall.
Markovic may not have got on the score-sheet against Spurs but he did play his part in his side's 3-1 victory that sets them up very nicely indeed for the second-leg.
With seven goals so far this season, and a string of impressive performances, it is no surprise that sides like Chelsea are interested. The only question is, if Jose Mourinho does make his move somewhere down the line, will the player get the chances considering the men already at the Blues' disposal?
Following the match we took to Twitter to see what the fans thought of his performance, and you can read some of what we found below:
