The Colombia international looked destined for a move away from the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, with Juventus also keen on the box-to-box man.
However, in the end Guarin stayed with Inter and has spoken about his happiness at the Milan-based club.
He also revealed that January was the second time that Antonio Conte’s men had try to bring him to Turin.
“It was an important sign of fate,” Guarin told Inter TV.
“It was the second time this (Juventus trying to sign him) has happened. Even when I arrived at Inter, I had the opportunity to go to Turin and the fact that for the second time I am still here important.
“Now I only think about Inter. What has happened has happened and passed. The fans have always been close to me.”
Guarin went on to admit that he has ambitions of playing in and winning the Champions League.
"The dream is the Champions League,” he continued. "I'd love to play in it. It is a competition that offers a lot of motivation - I really want to be able to win it."
Guarin’s comments indicate that he is happy in Italy for the time being, but his ambitions to play in the Champions League could see him look for a move in in the future.
Inter are expected to have a major upheaval of their squad this summer.
