A while back we ran a piece revealing Liverpool striker Luis Suarez had a secret weapon for the game against Manchester United; knitted boots.
Suarez posed with the innovatively designed boots from Adidas and he’s now got his hands on them, using them in Liverpool training ahead of the mega clash against Manchester United this weekend.
Several players who have tried out these boots, such as Andres Iniesta, have suggested they feel like socks, which allow players to roam around the pitch with a little more freedom.
They could give Suarez a huge boost ahead of the game this Sunday following his comments that he still feels like a kid playing football in the streets of Uruguay when he steps out for the Anfield side.
Fingers crossed they work for him because if Suarez has a stinker of a game it could backfire not just for Adidas, but for Liverpool in their quest for a Champions League spot by the end of May.
Take a look at Suarez and the boots in action.
