Former Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti is following a strict set of rules at Real Madrid according to Marca.
Real Madrid have worked themselves into a superb position under Carlo Ancelotti as they sit pretty at the top of La Liga and barring a miracle, they will progress into the last eight of the Champions League.
There was a little scepticism when Ancelotti first took over at the Bernabeu but he’s turned things around after Barcelona and Atletico Madrid dominated over the first half of the season.
Spanish site Marca suggests it’s because the Italian is using a list of ten points, which he’s using and following to create a positive and sustainable environment for himself and his players at the club.
The ten points are; solid at the back, possession, a consistent starting side, Xabi Alonso, atmosphere, an eye for goal, the bench, character, enjoyment and fitness.
Not a bad ten point method to follow.
Ancelotti has been a successful coach throughout his career and if Real Madrid wrestle the La Liga title away from Barcelona before the end of the season it will be a significant achievement.
It’s significant because the current crop of Barcelona stars has been described as the best collection of players in the history of football.
Ancelotti is trying to break that view point and he’s being rewarded by following a strict set of rules, which help him to get more from his higher profile and egotistical players while keeping the fringe players and youngsters happy.
A domestic and European double is on and it’s very possible.
