A round up of news stories about Chelsea this morning.
Atletico Madrid have hinted they would be willing to loan Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois for a fourth season.
The Belgian has spent the past three years on loan away from Stamford Bridge and has said he won’t return to West London unless he’s the number one.
“Courtois is an Atletico player until the end of the season. After the season we’ll try to purchase him – if they don’t want to sell, we’ll look for another solution,” club president Enrique Cerezo told Inside Spanish Football.
On loan Chelsea midfielder Marko Marin has hinted he’s ready to extend his stay at Spanish club Sevilla.
The German is on loan with the La Liga side until the end of the season and he’s revealed he’s ready to make the move a permanent one.
“If both Sevilla and me are happy to stay I can stay here forever. We’ll see what happens in the summer,” he told Estadio Deportivo.
Ashley Cole is set to return to the squad after he missed the win against Tottenham Hotspur with injury.
Cole returned from England duty with a slight knee problem which meant he missed the game against Spurs.
However, he’s handed the side a boost as he set to return this weekend after initial reports suggested he could be out for two weeks.
