Manchester United youngster James Wilson hit a second-half hat-trick to earn his side a win in the under-21 Premier League against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The young striker produced his best performance of the season after a frustrating first-half which saw the young United side struggle to break down Wolves who showed brilliant defence under pressure.
Wilson’s first goal is a superb shot with his left foot, drilled past the goalkeeper leaving him no chance of saving it. His second, a superb piece of skill to create room in front of a defender before a neat right foot finish and his third was a strong slot home from just outside the six yard box.
Wilson has struggled to show the form he’s been displaying in the UEFA Youth League this season (five goals in six games) but this is evidence that he’s moving in the right direction as United move up to fifth, level on points with Manchester City and Chelsea.
