VIDEO: £32m Chelsea target gives Atletico an early lead with stunning finish

Diego Costa gave Atletico Madrid the perfect start in their Champions League second-leg tie against AC Milan.

After scoring the only goal during Atletico Madrid's crucial 1-0 victory in Milan, Diego Costa has repeated the trick by netting the opening goal of the game with the first three minutes.

Manchester United linked Koke received the ball on the right-hand side of the area, spotted the movement of Diego Costa and swung over an inviting cross. There was still plenty of work to do, but Diego Costa expertly stretched to volley in a controlled finish – much to the delight of the Vicente Calderon crowd.

Despite not scoring as frequently in 2014, the 25-year-old still remains such an important player for Diego Simeone, and his performances have attracted the attentions of Premier League leaders Chelsea.

With Blues boss Jose Mourinho looking at a striker as his top priority this summer, Diego Costa is certainly a stand-out candidate, and with goals like this, it isn’t surprising.
