A selection of the latest stories involving Liverpool Football Club this Tuesday morning.
It seems that Pepe Reina’s time as a Liverpool player has almost certainly come to an end with The Times reporting that Brendan Rodgers will allow him to leave for a fee of around £4.2m – which was agreed last summer.
Reina – who is currently on loan at Napoli – has said he’ll be returning to Anfield at the end of the season to discuss his future, but according to the Times it’s a race between Atletico Madrid and Napoli to sign the Spaniard.
Young midfielder Conor Coady his hoping his exploits during his loan spell with Sheffield United is showing everyone he has what it takes to play at the highest level.
Coady has played a big role in getting the Blades to the FA Cup semi-final, and in getting them away from the relegation zone in League One.
He’s quoted in the Liverpool Echo, saying: “It’s up to me to show everyone what I can do. This season was always about my development as a player, and I’ve got the rest of the season to continue that work. But the semi-final, being such a high-profile game, might just be the one that sticks in everyone’s mind.”
Striker Luis Suarez has said he is an angel with a bit of demon inside, according to the Daily Mirror which cites French television.
Suarez said: "I know how I am off the pitch in my everyday life, and I'm more of an angel with a little bit of the demon.
"It's very difficult for me to have this image because of who I really am. But I have learned about my behaviour, and today, you have to know I am someone very timid and for that I am very careful what I say."
