The Ajax boss has hinted that he is happy in Amsterdam and is not looking to leave the Eredivisie giants.
With Tottenham’s 4-0 defeat to London rivals Chelsea at the weekend, speculation over Tim Sherwood’s future continues to swirl in the media.
Even before the former midfielder was given a chance to prove himself, rumblings of other managers with more experience of bigger reputations were doing the rounds.
One of the names in the mix to replace Sherwood is Frank de Boer, who has had a successful period with Ajax.
The retired defender’s brother Ronald stated that Spurs had already been in touch with him in regards to their managerial position, while speculation he could leave the Eredivisie for one of Europe’s major leagues continues.
However, despite the links to White Hart Lane, De Boer has stated that people should not expect to see him leave the Amsterdam Arena this summer.
“My future? I feel good here at Ajax,” he told NOS.
“If there is a need to talk more about this topic, we’ll see.
“But as it stands right now, I can assure people that they should not expect to see me go.”
Sherwood’s job will largely depend on just where Tottenham finish this season, with qualifying for the Champions League the brief for the coach.
His current contract at the North London club runs until the end of next season.
