Chelsea morning news: Courtois won't be leaving, Salah ready to fight

A round up of news stories this morning about Chelsea.

The father of Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois says his son will not be leaving the club for Real Madrid in 2015.

Reports from Spain started emerging yesterday which suggested that some sort of agreement was already in place between the two clubs.

“It’s an attempt to destabilise Atletico (his loan side). There hasn’t been any contact with Real. Our negotiations with Chelsea still have to start,” said Thierry Courtois.

Chelsea wide man Mohamed Salah says he’s aware regular game time at the Blues won’t be easy.

Salah has struggled to nail down a starting role since he joined the club from FC Basel.

“I know it will not be easy to play every game for Chelsea because we have so many very good players in my position, but I hope to show how hard I work and then we will see,” said the 21-year-old.

Chelsea midfielder Ramires says there is no room for mess ups in the race for the Premier League title.

The blues are sitting pretty in the title race at the moment following their demolition of local rivals Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.

“We have to keep focusing on a game at a time, we can’t fall into the trap of thinking that everything is okay. Any slip-up could be fatal at this point in the league,” said Ramires.
