Ex-Chelsea man: 'Blues can go undefeated for the rest of the league campaign'

Tony Cascarino has been discussing Chelsea's title chances.

Former Chelsea player Tony Cascarino has been speaking to Talk Sport about Jose Mourinho’s side and their chances of winning the Premier League.

The Blues are currently seven points clear at the top of the table, but Manchester City have three matches in hand due to their recent cup exploits.

As a result of that, Mourinho said after Chelsea’s 4-0 win against Spurs that he would “prefer to be in City’s position”. But Cascarino is not so sure.

Mourinho might talk about Man City being in the prime seat but I can’t see Chelsea getting beaten at all now,” the pundit said.

Playing Liverpool away will be a huge test and they are scaring everybody, but I still think Chelsea are physically immense. They can go there and get a result.”

Chelsea’s remaining league fixtures see them having to travel to Anfield as well as welcome Arsenal to Stamford Bridge. But their remaining games look considerably more winnable.

City, on the other hand, still have to face Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United and Everton, not an easy three points among them.

Mourinho will know he has the title in his sights. But he will also know that it can just as quickly be snatched away.

But one senses that if the Blues keep winning, City may slip up somewhere along the way.
