Thibaut Courtois has not signed an agreement with Real Madrid insists his father.
Spanish radio station Cadena Ser, which last summer claimed David Villa had agreed to sign for Spurs, last night claimed the Chelsea loanee had given his word to play in the future at the Bernabeu.
It claimed Courtois would sign for Real Madrid upon the expiration of his Chelsea contract in 2016.
He is currently on loan at La Liga title rivals Atletico Madrid, and it's this which Courtois senior believes is the reason behind the rumours.
Speaking to the Belgian press, he said: "It may be an attempt to destabilize Atletico."
"The negotiations with Chelsea have just begun. But anyway Chelsea will not let him go so easily. Thibaut himself now focuses on Atletico and the Champions League."
It's unlikely Jose Mourinho would allow Courtois to depart so easily on a free and let his contract expire in two years, a goalkeeper who can be the mainstay of Chelsea for the decade ahead once Petr Cech is moved aside.
Clearly when the goalkeeper cannot even decide where he is playing next season, second guessing where he will be in 2016 is even tougher to accurately estimate.
