The Telegraph reports that Paris Saint-Germain are willing to offer £41.5m to bring Chelsea star Oscar to the French capital.
The 22-year-old is one of four Brazilians in the current Chelsea squad, and is arguably enjoying his best season of his career under Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, receiving his fair share of first-team starts both in the Premier League and in Europe.
Paris Saint-Germain have already been linked with a record breaking bid for Chelsea’s top goalscorer Eden Hazard this summer, and the French press demonstrated their confidence in that deal by publishing a magazine with Hazard adorning a PSG kit on the front cover.
The French champions aren’t exactly light in the attacking areas, however, as they can count on Lavezzi, Lucas Moura, Javier Pastore, Jeremy Menez, Edison Cavani - and of course Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Do they really need any more striking options ?
The Telegraph reports that Paris Saint-Germain could face competition from Monaco and Barcelona for Oscar, but it’s hard to see why Chelsea would be willing to do a deal.
Mourinho has spoken in the past of wanting to build a Chelsea team which could dominate for years, and in Hazard, Schurrle, Oscar, Willian and Salah, the foundations look already in place.
Would Chelsea be willing to sell Oscar for £41.5m this summer ?
