Arsene Wenger has urged his Arsenal players to replicate their FA Cup performance over Everton when they travel to Bayern Munich next week.
Goals from Mesut Ozil, Mikel Arteta and a brace by Olivier Giroud helped the north Londoners book their place in the FA Cup semi-finals with a 4-1 win over Roberto Martinez's side, ahead of Tuesday's Champions League last 16 trip to the Allianz Arena.
Arsenal have a two-goal deficit to overcome against the reigning European champions but Wenger believes that his side can take inspiration from today's quarter final triumph.
"It was important for us to win today to put us in the psychology of a good mind," he told his post-match press conference.
"We can be inspired by our focus of today, by our desire and go to Bayern with the same spirit.
"The statistics go against us at Bayern but let's make sure that the performance goes for us and then we have a chance."
The win at the Emirates Stadium has edged Arsenal closer to ending their nine-year wait for a trophy as they booked their place in the Wembley semi-finals next month.
And Wenger insists that the Gunners have treated the FA Cup with the same level priority as their other ambitions despite being handed all-home ties in this season's competitions.
He added: "We've taken this competition seriously. Since the start of this competition, it's true that we've had a good draw to play all the games at home. It's the first time [it's happened] since I've played in the FA Cup.
"But we've played on the other hand difficult opponents - Tottenham, Liverpool, Everton - and that shows you that we have taken this competition seriously."
