Atletico Madrid midfielder Koke has been linked with a move to Manchester United for quite a while now.
It is a transfer that seems highly unlikely, given his current club’s outstanding form both domestically and in Europe, coupled with the fact that Diego Simeone has the chance to build something truly outstanding at the Spanish club – a side who can realistically and consistently challenge the duopoly of Real Madrid and Barcelona.
And now Koke has been speaking about his dream signing – which may not go down well with Liverpool fans.
Speaking to Marca.com, the Spanish midfielder said of his dream arrivals to further improve Simeone’s side, “I think Ronaldo and Messi are impossible to sign so I would choose Suarez, but we are talking about so much money.”
In the same interview, Koke revealed that he had no intention of leaving Atletico…at least not yet.
“In many years I could not tell, but right now I’m happy and want to be here,” he said.
Suarez and Diego Costa would be quite the front-line, with Koke playing behind them. Of course it is all hypothetical, but one wonders which is the more likely move and which will come first – Koke to the Premier League or Suarez to La Liga.
Given the Uruguayan’s incredible form and Liverpool’s outstanding progress under Brendan Rodgers, you sense Suarez is going nowhere for quite some time.
