Tottenham fans react on Twitter to Chelsea thrashing: "No character, no clue"

Tottenham's hopes of Champions League qualification took a huge hit after a shocking performance in a 4-0 defeat to Chelsea.

Spurs now sit four points behind fourth placed Manchester City, but Manuel Pellegrini's side now have three games in hand on Tottenham, where you would expect them to open up a lead over Tim Sherwood's men.

The 0-0 score at half time tonight seemed fair after a dour first half, but Spurs completely fell apart in the second half. A monumental error from Jan Vertonghen allowed Samuel Eto'o to open the scoring, and just minutes later Younes Kaboul was harshly sent off for as Eto'o tumbled in the box. Eden Hazard duly tucked away the resulting spot kick, and the defensive errors kept on coming as Demba Ba bagged twice to seal a big win.

Spurs fans are unsurprisingly disappointed, but many agreed with Sherwood in his critical post-match interview, though most supporters believe at top four place is now out of reach, but hope to beat fierce rivals Arsenal at White Hart Lane next weekend.
