Reina to Liverpool legend: 'What on earth are you doing here ?'

Pepe Reina found himself unexpectedly bumping into a former Liverpool team-mate in Spain this week.

The Napoli goalkeeper, on loan at the Serie A club from Liverpool, was on duty with the Spanish national squad when he bumped into Anfield legend Jamie Carragher.

Carragher was with the Spain squad, too, interviewing Barcelona star Xavi for the Daily Mail. And Reina's reaction when spying Carragher was priceless:

'What on earth are you doing here! Who let you in ? Oh my God! I just don’t believe it! Xavi! What is going on ?'.

Reina played with defender Carragher for seven years, although the shot-stopper's Liverpool future looks increasingly uncertain, with the Spaniard currently working on loan alongside Rafa Benitez (the man who brought him to Anfield in the first place) at Napoli.

Xavi, meanwhile, shared plenty of banter of his own with Carragher, at one point asking him: 'So one day you are going to be the coach of Liverpool ? I have got your book, Xabi Alonso gave it to me'.

And the Spain star also shared his view on Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, who recently criticised Barcelona, branding them the worst Barca team in 'many, many years'.

'Mourinho has a different style. It’s not the same style as Barcelona. He plays in a more defensive style and I respect that. But it’s to be expected that he doesn’t like our football. He has never liked Barcelona’s style. Not just now but even five years ago', Xavi said.

All the talk of English teams, players and stadia is not a sign that the 34-year-old might be tempted to finish his career on these shores, however, with Xavi responding to the Liverpool legend's question on the matter with a simple but unerring:

'I’m Barcelona through and through and have always wanted to stay here', he said.
