Current Premier League leaders Chelsea have the chance to open up a seven point gap over second-placed Arsenal. But Tottenham will have not given up on a top-four finish and will know that a victory will see that reality become just a little more likely.
A defeat on the other hand would be a huge blow to Tim Sherwood’s side, who would suddenly find themselves 13 points behind the Blues.
That said, Chelsea are unbeaten in their last 23 home league meetings with Spurs, with today’s visitors not winning at Stamford Bridge since 1990.
A quick look at the league table reveals one thing – even if Jose Mourinho may not want to admit it. The title is Chelsea’s to lose. And three points this afternoon will see them take another big step towards reclaiming it.
What do you think the result will be this afternoon?
