Tottenham Hotspur morning news: Eriksen vow to Spurs and Lloris' potential replacement?

A round up of news stories this morning about Tottenham Hotspur.

Spurs midfielder Christian Eriksen has suggested he’ll stay at the club even if they miss out on a top four finish.

Jan Vertonghen recently refused to rule out a move away for Champions League football but the Danish midfielder has revealed he won’t be jumping ship.

“I don't know how other guys are thinking, but I'm happy where I am, and hopefully we'll get to the Champions League anyway. I think it is important for the club, and the calibre of player that could come, or stay,” the Dane told the Daily Mail.

TalkSport has suggested Tottenham will target Real Madrid goalkeeper Diego Lopez if they lose Hugo Lloris in the summer.

Lloris is routinely linked with moves to huge European sides because he’s one of the most consistent goalkeepers in the Premier League.

Reports claim Lloris is eager to play Champions League football although the Frenchman has never said anything resembling that he wants to leave.

Tottenham striker Roberto Soldado has said he would have left the club had he been younger.

The Spaniard has struggled to find his best form since he moved to the club from Valencia last summer.

“If all this had happened to me when I was 22, I would have probably returned home after a month – I am the only one responsible for my poor form, but I will get better,” he told Onda Cero.
