Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus, Benfica and Southampton stars all feature.
David Moyes has a lot of work to do in the summer with his captain leaving the club and the squad seemingly short in several key areas.
Manchester United are in the fortunate position where they can afford to pay for high profile transfers and attract big name players regardless of the fact they are unlikely to finish in the top four.
United have been linked with plenty of players over the past week and we’ve picked out five of the best.
1) Toni Kroos (Bayern Munich)
Several pundits and broadcasters have suggested that United remain short in midfield despite the January signing of Juan Mata from Chelsea.
Kroos has constantly been linked with an Old Trafford switch since the story first appeared despite the fact he’s been used frequently in big games since by Pep Guardiola.
The Metro suggested that United were looking to tempt him with a huge wage offer of £250,000 per week.
2) Ilkay Gundogan (Borussia Dortmund)
BVB’s Ikay Gundogan has been linked with United throughout the season and reports have started appearing again following reported interest from German and European champions Bayern Munich.
Whether United are willing to take a risk on Gundogan who has been plagued with injuries this season remains to be seen.
3) Paul Pogba (Juventus)
The Frenchman has been in world class form for the Serie A giants this season, with hints that United could try and tempt him back to Old Trafford.
They face a fight against the likes of Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain with plenty of reports suggesting those European giants are ready to pay big money for the midfielder.
4) Ezequiel Garay (Benfica)
The suggestion that Garay could replace Nemanja Vidic at the end of the season has become a realistic possibility following comments from the player’s agent.
Rafael Bray confirmed that Benfica turned down offers for the defender last January and has hinted that his client could be sold in the summer transfer market.
“Benfica resisted offers so the transfer didn't materialise at this stage - In the summer he will be entering the final year of his contract with Benfica, so logically there will be news,” he said.
5) Luke Shaw (Southampton)
The Daily Star has suggested that Manchester United will try and tempt £30 million left-back Luke Shaw away from Chelsea with a huge contract offer.
The teenager made his England debut earlier this week in the friendly against Denmark following fine form for Southampton so far in this campaign.
United are apparently ready to offer him £75,000 per week to sign on the dotted line.
