I am casting my eye back to this exact day, the 7th March 2014, but a year earlier.
What were the main tales from that day? What big events were happening in Premier League football?
Here are some of the big scoops from the 7th March 2013…
All go for Sanogo
Check this one out, a football rumour that actually turned out to be true?!
Arsenal were linked by The Mirror with a move for Auxerre forward Yaya Sanogo a year ago today.
The report suggested that Arsene Wenger had already been in talks with the Frenchman over his future - as his contract with the Ligue 2 side expired at the end of the season.
And low and behold they actually did sign him. On the 1st July 2013 the deal was confirmed and Sanogo took the number 22 squad number from Francis Coquelin.
Sanogo recently led the line in the Champions League clash with Bayern Munich.
Chelsea stink at Steaua
Chelsea were given a rude awakening in the Europa League by Romanian outfit Steaua Bucharest.
Rafa Benitez’s side went to the Steaua Stadium with plenty of expected confidence - but were soon left wondering what went wrong after a disastrous performance.
A goal from Raul Rucescu, dusting himself off after Ryan Bertrand brought him down in the penalty box, did the trick - as Chelsea were left teetering on the precipice of European elimination.
However Chelsea won the second leg - and went on to win the tournament out right.
Also in the Europa League that night Tottenham beat Inter Milan 3-0 - but the second leg was far more exciting.
No pain no gain, Wayne
Wayne Rooney’s future was being cast into doubt all over the place - as the striker continued to be pushed aside by Sir Alex Ferguson.
The arrival of Robin van Persie couple with an apparent breakdown in communication between both Rooney and Fergie was said to be to blame - and his omission from the Real Madrid Champions League tie spoke volumes.
Fast forward a year and Fergie is gone - while Rooney is now on £300k-a-week.
