The club's new strip emblazoned with club sponsor Chevrolet seems to have been leaked in the press
This looks set to be Manchester United's new home kit for the 2014-2015 season.
A bumper sponsorship deal with Chevrolet was revealed in July 2012 which sees them paying United a huge figure but having to wait until next season before their brand can be seen on the famous shirt. Chevrolet will replace Aon on the shirt and it will take some time to get used to such a change on the shirts we are used to seeing practically every day.
It is unclear whether the pictured shirt is officially the new kit for The Red Devils but it gives us an idea of what Wayne Rooney, Juan Mata and perhaps many new signings could be wearing next season. The kit will still be made by Nike and has a lot of black detail on the red shirt. There is a long black strip of buttons coming down from the centre of the collar on the shirt and there is also black patches on the shoulders and on the trim of the sleeve.
Whether this is the new kit or if there is another prototype hiding elsewhere it is sure to be a big seller across the globe, due to their large fan base. It might have taken a slight bruising this year, but they are still one of the most 'supported' clubs across the world.
This could be Nike's last ever design for Manchester United with their current 13-year deal set to expire at the end of next season. Nike will surely be keen to extend the deal but it could hinge on how the club progresses on all fronts. If European football is something the club cannot guarantee then that will certainly see any potential deal reduced. Even so, United will have many brands keen to go into business with them regardless.
