The 22-year-old is certainly enjoying a season to remember.
His current side Real Sociedad are following up their impressive campaign last season by once again challenging for a Champions League spot this season.
Griezmann and Carlos Vela have been the Basque club’s star players this term, and their performances have been recognised and deeply appreciated by their national team coaches.
In 23 La Liga appearances, Griezmann – from a wide-left position – has netted an incredible 15 goals, as well as picking up a further three assists. His crossing ability is clearly evident, and other than his goals David Moyes may well be looking at this side of his game as vital to his current United system.
Manchester United scout David Friio has been tracking his progress, and believes that the French national team debutant will offer Les Blues something different.
Reported by Sky Sports, Friio is positive that Griezmann has all the qualities to be a star this summer in Brazil, saying:
"Greizmann would clearly bring something."
"His versatility and technique, in a tournament where the gaps are reduced, are real assets.”
"You can't score 15 goals in a great league without having real qualities."
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has already admitted he is a keen admirer, but perhaps he has waited too long in tracking his potential.
The French side are looking to bring back the best French players to the capital, and after Yohan Cabaye made the move in January, Antoine Griezmann and Paul Pogba are also on their reported wish-list.
