Manchester United boss David Moyes has hailed 'magnificent' Manchester United fans who have kept the faith during their tough season.
The manager wrote the message to season ticket holders thanking them for their support, and admitting he did not expect the job to be this difficult.
'The difficult season we have experienced is not something I had envisaged'.
Few would have predicted United sitting in sixth position heading into March, while they are 2-0 down to Olympiakos heading into the second leg of the Champions League last 16.
Moyes' message could be seen as a rallying cry, with the Red Devils facing crucial home fixtures against the Greeks, as well as Liverpool and Manchester City this month.
Having the home support 100 per cent behind the team and manager will be absolutely essential to turning their fortunes around in those games, but the club have to come through the away game to West Brom this weekend first.
