January Chelsea signing showed what he could do against Bosnia.

Chelsea fans have not been granted much of an opportunity to see Mohamed Salah since his transfer window signing from Basel.

The 21-year-old has played just 13 minutes of Premier League football, and a further 45 minutes in the FA Cup.

Against Fulham at the weekend, he didn't even make the bench, illustrating that his adaptation period to English football may take longer than expected - given the plethora of attacking options Chelsea already have at their disposal.

Despite all of this, he showed for Egypt that he was razor sharp, scoring one slotting home from close range with the touch of an experienced goalscorer, and setting up the second goal for Hull City's Gedo.

The news that he has inspired the 2-0 win over World Cup bound Bosnia, adding to an international goals from fellow Chelsea star Oscar - had fans via Twitter demanding he gets more opportunities for the club.

It isn't easy for him with Eden Hazard, Andre Schurrle, Willian, and Oscar all competing for places - but this will have done him the world of good, and will have ensured he maintains his match fitness.

Chelsea's strong squad is likely to play a huge part for them down the stretch, it's where rivals Arsenal and Liverpool could both fall down - although City have one to match the Blues.

Salah's ability gives him an opportunity, and by keeping him fresh and champing at the bit - may be Jose Mourinho knows exactly what he is doing.
